POWER OVER PREJUDICE

Power Over Prejudice (POP) Summit is an event that brings teams of middle school students from across metro Atlanta together for a positive, interactive learning experience with peers from widely diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds.

The 2008 POP Summit will be held
November 11, 12 and 13 at Georgia Tech.

Most of the day is spent in small breakout groups where students from different schools are grouped together, making it unlikely that any of them know each other. Each group is led by two community facilitators who have been professional trained specifically for their work at POP. While different insights and goals come out of every group, one thing is universal: the kids see the damage prejudice can cause.
